Texas Tennis Fun for Everyone!

Columbia Lakes Tennis Center amenities include eight championship lighted tennis courts, along with a tennis pro shop that features a full line Babolat tennis products. Lesson and league programs are available for adults and juniors of all ages and skill levels.

Columbia Lakes is a private member club but tennis classes and many other activities are open to the public. Social Memberships, which include tennis, swimming, fitness, and dining are available. Call Coach Sam at 979-345-7888 for membership specials and other details.

Meet the Pro: Samuel R. Chadwell, USPTA

Coach Sam has taught tennis professionally since 1987. He is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association. Throughout his career Sam has been involved in the tennis industry as a player, coach, and club manager. He has served as the Executive Director of the Houston Professional Tennis Association, and the Director of Tennis at Columbia Lakes Country Club in West Columbia, Texas for the past three years.  [More about Coach Sam]

December 26, 2006: Christmas Break Tennis Camp

Coach Sam will be hosting a Christmas Break Camp from 10 AM to 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 26. Teddi Diblasi , Columbia Lakes resident and Collegiate tennis star will be assisting with the camp. Cost for the camp is $40 for club members and $45 for guests. Additional camp dates are scheduled for January 2-3. Email coachsam@earthlink.net to register.

December 29-30, 2006: Holiday Singles & Mixed Doubles Tournament

Welcome to the last tournament of 2006. This tournament features singles and mixed doubles. Schedule of play: Junior Singles will begin at 9 AM Friday morning. Adult Singles will begin at 9 AM Saturday morning. No mixed doubles will begin before 2 PM Saturday.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, December 26, 2006 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.

Cost: $25 per person for the first event and $20 per person for the second event. Online registration.
